Our story
The idea
Born on a kitchen table in Christchurch, NZ. We grew tired of boring, chemical
foot sprays and scentless powders that ruined our kicks. We built SHAKE AND
BAKE™ to give streetwear and fitness culture a premium, sustainable ritual
that crushes odour while keeping your style flawless.
Mike ²
The two mikes have both been heavily involved in the Christchurch creative community, it was inevitable that they would end up becoming best mates. After working together on several projects, including Mike Beers hugely successful Ghosts on Every Corner, the friendship was cemented.
With two creative skillsets resembling a venn diagram, Mike Beer and Mike Fox have come up with some out the gate projects. Expertise in product design, making it fun and being cool has led the two towards an idea which might be considered “out of left field”.
The two had met in Beers studio, one morning, to catch up and work on a few projects, when Fox noticed a new logo on Beers computer. After asking Beer what it was all about, Fox was in! Together the two began developing a product that takes the taboo out of foot care and hygiene. “We wanted to offer something cool, fresh, and memorable to people who cared about their kicks”, creating a product with a unique user friendly ecosystem that is both sustainable and safe for animals has been a driving force behind Shake & Bake. “ We are frothing for the future of Shake & Bake, and can’t wait to see people get as into it as we are”.
